Coke County, Texas, is found on the Edwards plateau, U.S. The county was created on March 13, 1889, and was Organized on April 23, 1889. Later, Coke County was named after Richard Coke, the 15th governor of Texas. Coke County was created out of Tom Green County. 

Runnels County borders Coke County to the east and Tom Green to the south. Sterling and Mitchel Counties neighbor Coke to the west and north, respectively.   

The county has its seat in Robert Lee. It is located along the Colorado River. The Colorado River Municipal Water District manages it. On the other hand, Bronte, Blackwell, Nanhattie, and Tennyson are Coke County’s other towns.
